Fifty Shades of Adverts

I doubt there’s very few people who haven’t heard of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ – which is probably one of the most anticipated films being released this year. The book/movie and especially the trailer has acted as inspiration for a number of new adverts which have gradually made an appearance with the big day getting closer and closer.

One Minute Brief Advertise: Cats, Winner!

One Minute Brief Advertise: Cats, Winner!

So when I saw that todays One Minute Brief was to advertise cats I did have a bit of a mind block at first as I’m really not a cat fan so I decided to base my two entries using some cat styled puns. The first image was my winning entry saying “Look what the cat dragged in”. I have to say I was pretty speechless when I got the notification saying I was one of the winners as I was not expecting it at all but can safely say it has made my day!

One Minute Briefs Advertise: Zoos

One Minute Briefs Advertise: Zoos

Yesterdays brief was to advertise Zoos. My first entry was to go down a more arty route and did a quick mock up on Photoshop using a vector tiger from good old Google Images plus I added a textured background and played around with layer effects to give it a more rustic feel.

The second entry is clearly more of a humorous one I wanted a large image of a zoo animal looking quite quirky and funny – which I think this giraffe does pretty well. Similar, to the first I also added a textured image on top and adjusted the layer effects as well as lower the opacity which makes it look a bit more gritty and natural looking rather then clean cut.
