It’s no secret that I have a guilty pleasure for puns, so when I came across these witty packaging designs from Purearth naturally, I fell in love. It’s a superb example of great design and great copywriting working together, which is guaranteed to get some attention and stand out. I don’t doubt we’ll soon see filtered photos of these bottles quickly appearing on Instagram.

One Minute Briefs: Campaign to Stop #TamponTax – Winner!

One Minute Briefs teamed up with @bloodydisgrace and @fullsixlondon for this brief, to create a campaign to stop tampon tax:

WOMEN BLEED ONCE A MONTH. AND THEN PAY TAX ON IT.
There are 3.52 billion women in the world that will tell you, that menstrual hygiene products are essential to lead a functional, normal life.
However, several governments don’t think they are. They deem these items not essential, and tax them accordingly.

This is a #BloodyDisgrace.
We have created, and are launching a global campaign and petition, directed at the United Nations, to raise awareness of this unfair tax. We want every government to act together to declare that menstrual hygiene products are essential goods. This campaign has been created and supported by FullSIX London.
Above are my two entires and the first one became one of the winners. There was a phenomenal amount of entries for this particular brief, with many winners as well – which are all worth a look!
Last but not least, go ahead and sign the petition to put a stop to this bloody disgrace.

Odd Love Story Ad From Interflora

Despite this ad being for Denmark it has captured attention from all around the world, with a charming but odd love story which has a surprising twist. The ad shows the love a gothic boy has for a popular preppy girl. But I’ll honestly admit, (along with a large percentage of others who have watched this ad) I did not expect the ending. What’s also great is there is no dialogue in the advert at all which makes it universally appealing and who doesn’t love a good love story? It was also refreshing not to see a bouquet of flowers feature in the advert either, which I imagine was a risk for a florist brand to take but I believe this makes the brand even more appealing and the ad more charming.

My One Minute Brief entry to advertise the Celebrity Big Brother furniture for sale on Gumtree.

“Gumtree.com. The UK’s largest classifieds website, is today announcing the sale of over 40 items of furniture from the current Celebrity Big Brother 2015 house, the proceeds of which will go to Crisis, the charity for single homeless people. The move comes as part of Gumtree’s sponsorship of the hit Channel 5 TV show, which also features a series of creative idents of talking furniture.”
