One Minute Briefs: Campaign to Stop #TamponTax – Winner!

Bloody Disgrace Tampon Tax Bloody Disgrace Tampon Tax

One Minute Briefs teamed up with @bloodydisgrace and @fullsixlondon for this brief, to create a campaign to stop tampon tax:

WOMEN BLEED ONCE A MONTH. AND THEN PAY TAX ON IT.
There are 3.52 billion women in the world that will tell you, that menstrual hygiene products are essential to lead a functional, normal life.
However, several governments don’t think they are. They deem these items not essential, and tax them accordingly.

This is a #BloodyDisgrace.
We have created, and are launching a global campaign and petition, directed at the United Nations, to raise awareness of this unfair tax. We want every government to act together to declare that menstrual hygiene products are essential goods. This campaign has been created and supported by FullSIX London.
Above are my two entires and the first one became one of the winners. There was a phenomenal amount of entries for this particular brief, with many winners as well – which are all worth a look!
Last but not least, go ahead and sign the petition to put a stop to this bloody disgrace.

Girl Fakes Period In New HelloFlo Ad

HelloFlo are back with another hilarious advert. If you didn’t see their last advert around a year ago then you must go and watch it too as it’s equally as funny – I even wrote a post on it!

The ad is comical genius and as they regularly use the word period/vagina/uterus it makes the whole topic a little less taboo and squeamish! It’s obviously very “American” styled but at the end of the day you can’t help but laugh, plus it helps promotes HelloFlo’s subscription package service in a very memorable way.

Hilarious Ad Promoting HelloFlo

I have to admit whilst watching this video for the first time I was pretty speechless and initially wasn’t sure what to think. But I have to say it is absolutely hilarious and the main young girl acting, plays it really well and makes it much more interesting.

Without us necessarily realising she tells us the key benefits of HelloFlo with a strong comedy element, which makes it more enjoyable. Not sure how many guys will found this funny but obviously it is aimed at girls and even though it did shock me with some of phrases and language it was very funny and even though it was only released three days ago on YouTube it already has over 2million views!
